So help me god if I see one more person type "tryna" in seriousness
Friday, 02-Oct-15 12:21:30 UTC from web-
@mrmattimation they're just tryna create a voice in their writing
Matt likes this. -
@tiffany They're "tryna" sound like a retard.
-
@mrmattimation It's not even incorrect, unless they're writing a formal essay or something
-
@tiffany Why do you consistently justify stupid-ass slang writing? There is literally no reason for it to exist.
-
@mrmattimation I justify it because it IS justified. I mean, fair enough you don't like the look of it, but for the love of GOD let people do what they want with their writing
-
@tiffany No. It's completely backwards. One of the worst things I've seen in writing besides just bad writing in general.
-
@mrmattimation I am an English Language student son, don't mess with me
-
@tiffany Which is why it's so disheartening that you support this kind of writing.
-
@mrmattimation You use words like 'gonna' and 'wanna' don't you?
-
@tiffany That's different.
-
@mrmattimation How
-
@tiffany Is it a good use of your time tryna change his mind
-
@thelastgherkin I eagerly await for people to talk about the fundaments of the English language so I can be a giant nerd about it
-
@tiffany I'm just tryna be doubles advocate
-
@thelastgherkin Gherk bless you
-
@tiffany The only people who I've seen use the word "tryna", which is not a real word, are people who want to sound ghetto so that they aren't mistaken for one of the bourgeoisie even though they're high schoolers in Seattle typing it on a MacBook. I live in the wealthiest county in the nation and I see my classmates who live in larger houses than I typing like that shortly before talking about how poor they are. They don't actually talk like that in real life. It's only online. If you are educated, you should type like it.
-
@mrmattimation I simply can't agree with you that you "should" type a certain way. People should be allowed to type the way they want, in a style that reflects the way they want it to be read, which is what you and I do daily when we make posts on social media. If they're using certain words to pose, then sure, I'll accept that there's a problem there, but I believe you also have issues with "incorrect" words in a more general sense, and that's where I disagree with you on account that it's a) not "incorrect" and b) a matter of personal choice that you have as much right to complain about as I have to complain about your complaining about it.
-
@tiffany It's a doggy dog world out there.
-
@thelastgherkin What are you trying to acheive pacifically
-
@tiffany A zero taller ants policy on incorrect grammer.
-
@thelastgherkin There's no such thing
