            @yodeleerie Though it's not like it really matters, the people who vehemently view games as nothing more than toys likely wouldn't have a healthy approach to critically evaluating a piece of art or media anyway

              @nightmarenarwhal I like videogames that are glorified toys too, though. Or toyboxes. Games are nice because they can be about goofing off and having fun or they can be telling a good story.

                @redenchilada Oh, I'm not saying video games aren't toys or toyboxes. I freakin' love Splatoon to death and that game's pretty much just a glorified toy. I agree with you that they can be about goofing off and having fun or telling a compelling story, I'm talking about people who ignore the second part of that sentence and see games as toys exclusively.
