  1. Sadly I'm always forced to be the diplomat of the group as all my gaming friends are amazing players but never think about solving problems by talking with people.

    1. @skellythos Well... In our group we tried to be diplomatic but at a certain point after we f***ed up so many times with conversations when our changeling spy with incredible bluff skills wasn't available that we relied on brute force and lying over diplomacy. On time an aberration revived my wizard because he thought my character was evil, and the aberration wanted to turn the world into chaos and he should help him. So... right after my wizard was revived he attacked the aberration and successfully killed before the aberration could gain more power (was weakened by a fight with an ice demon before). Instead of being friendly to the aberration, as if it were normal being treaded friendly oneself, we killed him in a few rounds. It was glorious.

      1. @adiwan this seems like a pretty interesting conversation

      2. @adiwan We once had a chained minotaur guarding a passage that requested a duel to decide if he would let us pass into the caves. We cut off his arms while still chained and bashed his head in with a big stick of solid diamond. Without accepting the duel of course. It was a regrettable moment of violent excitement.

        1. @skellythos The only thing similar happened when a minotaur was also guarding a passage and wanted some money. We were on a secret mission and nobody had to know that we were on this path. My wizard blatantly murdered the minotaur with a magic missile in the back.

          1. @adiwan Minotaurs ranking # on most murderable humanoid.

            1. @skellythos In retrospect the minotaur was terrible because he had a bit further away a camp and a human corpse over his camp fire.

              1. @adiwan Then it was a righteous slaying. Our minotaur was an honourable warrior.

          2. @adiwan Then again, if it serves as some form of excuse, we were like level 3 at the time and weren't sure we could survive a fight with a thing that size, much less carry on for an obvious dungeon crawl with a boss at the end after that.
