    3. @tiffany The french have an entire subclass of vehicles referred to as "Voiture Sans Permis". Cars so tiny you don't even need a drivers license to use on on a road. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Twizy They call them "Quadricycles"

          1. @ceruleanspark why can't America have these

            1. @rarity Because as a nation you've inexplicably internalized the idea that "Small" == "Unsafe"

              1. @ceruleanspark the Smart sold pretty well, the Fiat 500 recently got brought over here though and that flopped

                1. @rarity I would buy a Smart if they hadn't canned to roadster.

                  1. @ceruleanspark I would never want anything with a removable roof

                    1. @rarity You could get them in hardtop variants. The problem was that it turned out they didn't need a removable roof to get filled with water.

              2. @mrmattimation The consensus in countries that allow microcars/quadricycles is that they're safer for young people than scooters

                1. @ceruleanspark Anything with four wheels is safer than a scooter. Scooters are the lowest tier as far as road safety goes.
