  1. One of those "inaccurate" AK's got 7 out of 10 hits at 500 yards:

    1. @m14brony Wouldn't be used as a military rifle if it couldn't hit things past 300m.

      1. @nerthos That doesn't stop AR-15 fanatics from peddling AK "inaccuracy" myths (some of them claim the AK is wildly inaccurate at 150+ meters).

        1. @m14brony that's absurd, I've seen shotguns that are accurate at that range, why the hell wouldn't the AK?

        2. @m14brony It's funny to me how Bronies, Weeaboo's, and gun-nuts all have their favorite "waiffu". " my 5.56 leadspewer is better than your 5.45 leadspewer". Meanwhile the one with the FN 5.7x28 leadspewer dominates them both on the 200m firing range and it's owner is a good sport :D

          1. @critialcloudkicker There isn't a "one size fits all" firearm, but I do prefer the Kalashnikov to the AR. It may not be as accurate as an AR, but it is more accurate than people give it credit for being. Not to mention it has a reputation for rock solid reliability. :)

            1. @m14brony Well, yeah, but if you cherrypick your criteria then any firearm is a potential "best in class" firearm. Therefor the "one size fits all" is a swasher, not the other way around. Also your current environment matters a lot. I mean I am not taking a Diemaco, G36E, or Steyr Aug A3 to the desert when I can take an AK47. Or an AK74 for that matter. Reliability becomes the most important thing when you're in a desert storm with sand as fine as flour

          2. @critialcloudkicker I haven't fired 5.7X28mm extensively, but I found FN's Five-SeveN pistol to be pleasant to shoot. :)

        3. @m14brony To be honest I'd pick a G36 over either.

          1. @nerthos And a G36 is a nice looking gun

            1. @stumperman Yee. I do like the wood on the AK/APK, but German weapons tend to look way nicer.

              1. @nerthos The STG44 is one of my all time favourites.

              2. @nerthos In any game that has the G36 I always use it. They always add a nice reload animation to it and the fact that it's a good gun

          2. @nerthos I haven't fired a G36. The civilian variants (SL8-1) aren't particularly common on the US market, and it can cost thousands more to convert it closer to the civilian configuration.

    2. @m14brony not a surprise. Some sharpshooting facilities use them over Simonovs for training carabines.

      1. @awl I wouldn't blame them for that, given how stiff the trigger on the SKS happens to be.
