@awl Street Fighter. It's not "good" in the oscar sense, but it's a perfect example of a JCVD movie of action excellence. Although it's not accurate to the source material.

@awl I don't think I can off the top of my head. I think the issue with most (if not all) film adaptations of games that I've seen is that they don't acknowledge that the process of adapting doesn't just mean retelling the story in a different medium, it means reframing the narrative in the context of that medium. So many games work on the inherent strengths of their medium that for a good adaptation of them to work the feeling and sensibilities of the game would need to be preserved while structurally composing it to fit the film form.
