I'm quite surprised that Batman V Superman is a box office hit despite abysmal critiques.

@adiwan a large portion of the superhero fanbase just like superhero films because they're superhero films in spite of their actual quality so I'm not very surprised to be honest

@tiffany I like super hero films but the DC ones seem to be really crappy. I recently saw Man of Steel on TV and wasn't pleased.

@adiwan I didn't really engage with any superhero media until last year with Marvel's Netflix shows and Deadpool, all of which I'm much more pleased with.

@tiffany The Netflix shows are exceptionally good, though I think that Jessica Jones was better than the second Daredevil season. I also watch Agents of SHIELD, which doesn't reach the quality of the mentioned above, but I enjoy it nonetheless. I might like Agent Carter a bit more than Agents of Shield. Sadly the ratings weren't so great.

@adiwan Oh yeah, Jessica Jones was and is much better than Daredevil, since they have different priorities and JJ is more of a character show than a piece of eye candy like DD is. I can't speak for the other shows

@tiffany Agents of SHIELD has a weird pacing from time to time and the writing shows sometimes that the major films don't allow bigger stuff to happen (besides the lower budget). I like it despite of the flaws. Agent Carter is set in the 50's, which is not limited by the current events and take full advantage of this. Season 1 is much stronger than the second because the second has a weird love triangle running, which didn't work out.

@adiwan Eh, I doubt I'll get around to watching it. I have much more pressing things on my list right now

@adiwan Well I mean... people have to pay to go and see it before they can critique it

@adiwan I don't know why you're surprised. This is hardly the first time this happened, nor will it be the last.

vertigo is still kicking so DC will come back. dont worry.

It was a first-weekend hit, sure. I think this coming weekend will make-or-break it from a financial standpoint. It's taken in about $420 million worldwide, but Warner's said that production costs are in the neighborhood of $750 million.
I think Warner is really worried. A bad second weekend and poor bluray sales could cripple the Justice League movie franchise before it even starts.-
@karl Interesting. I think that they'll end up at a break-even point with the film with DVD sales, TV licensing and merch.
