@redenchilada I'm going to be honest here. I'm not trying to be that. I have spent a lot of my life helping people, by just listening to them. I dont try and help sometimes. I am just there. I am tired of seeing so many people so upset over things. I have helped several just by texting them, or IMing them. What makes the difference is I want to be there. @noirbatch This ties in with an idea that I aired a couple of days ago. I had the idea of setting up a map where volunteers could post their locations, so they could, if needed, provide local shipping for gift ponies, provide hugs, or non-long-distance calls to people who needed them.

But that's why you can even just have that one person to confide in that won't spill the beans, so you can still be authoritative, but also know that there are people who even though haven't met you or heard your voice, honest to god care for each and every person.

@carcino I know but I was close to failing. I have a friend whom I've know for several years who is servery schizophrenic. I walked into his room with a gun in his hand about to pull the trigger. I tackled him as he pulled it only grazing his ear. After I had a long talk with him. He has become more positive, and hasn't tried suicide for 4 years.

@carcino no. I believe everyone has a caring and kind soft side to them. I think the least we can do, the very least, is help stop someone from committing suicide. Lots of us have a tough outer outer layer, but we cannot keep our bad feelings bottled up. It's bad for everyone.

@carcino sometimes we push our emotions far out of the way so that we don't seem affected by them. But it really works against you to do that. I understand self image is important, but if you don't have anyone to confide in, it will keep eating at you without you even noticing it.

@redenchilada it's great to be able to vent by yourself. But sometimes when things get too hard too look the other way and forget, we need someone to lean on and trust. Computers are great for forgetting about problems, but what about those problems that you can't seem to get out of your thoughts? The ones that keep repeating in your mind and drive you up the wall? Thats what we are here for. Many of us are willing to give out numbers, Skype and all that in case someone is in dire emergency. Heck, if anyone here was very troubled, I would fly out to them, or let them stay at my place until things boiled over. There is nothing that can replace a real person to talk with.

@redenchilada I must agree with you. But for instance, when I was pacing my house trying to keep my mind off of drinking a glass of antifreeze, Cerulean was talking to me and managed to put in a delay of emotions, and eventually I calmed down.
