  1. I had an Occulus Rift on my head for the first time. The resolution is horrible. The motion tracking was good. They tested a method for viewing objects and discovering volumetric data only with the head-mounted display. It worked pretty well but it had some flaws but were inevitable because they had to unify the interface for all sorts of different input devices.

    1. @adiwan The Vive is apparently much better, according to Arin Hanson and Justin Roiland.

        1. @adiwan Yeah, 960x1080 per eye is really rather low seen as the screen is maybe max 5 CM from your eyeballs. The real product has 1080 x 1200 resolution per eye. Do I still think that is too low ? Yeah, kinda, it still gives me a fly screen feeling. However, it sure is awesome tech. Now let us pray there will be good enough games for VR eventually. and not drive it to the point where I can pick up a Rift in the second hand market for less than 100 Euro within a year. ( or a scenario where Oculus and Vive and Morpheus beat eachother up untill noone wins )
