  1. …aaaaand before anyone papayaes that I’ve “succumbed to PC culture or whatever”, know that I am not censoring myself in any way. I am doing this completely of my own volition simply because I want to make my channel more accessible to everybody. The content warnings are completely optional to read and you can absolutely ignore them if you don’t want to see them. Thank you.

    1. @mrmattimation hum, you're adding subtitles and want to add a second language to your vids, that is pretty much the OPPOSITE of censorship

      1. @zennx I was referring more to the trigger warnings in my video descriptions.

        1. @mrmattimation still, that's not censorship, censorship is REMOVING something that might offend/undermine/incite a revolt/etc
a trigger warning is basically posting a NSFW tag before posting TnA
your content will still be there as you decided was fit

          1. @zennx I'm aware of that, dummy. A lot of other people don't see it that way though.

            1. @mrmattimation then those people are morons and you shouldn't bother with them, it sets a horrible precedent
like telling kids their drawings are good enough to be placed on the fridge
PEOPLE ARE NOT AS TALL AS HOUSES, I don't care that you are 5, you've seen people and you've seen houses, ARE THEY THE SAME SIZE?
The fridge is for important stuff, like emergency contacts, and grocery lists, and other things with proper dimension ratios

              1. @zennx It's artistic liberty. It expresses that, while the human occupants may be smaller than the house, they are the really important part in having a true home.

                1. @scribus I WILL NOT ALLOW DISTORTIONS OF SCALE AS A MEANS TO CONVEY DEEPER MEANING IN MY HOUSE/FRIDGE
do you know where this leads to?
                  ornamental pillows, that's where!
they mean to convey comfort, but when you try to sit on them you'll either slip and slouch or be stuck in a very uncomfortable position.
And don't even get me started on those ghastly tiny scented candles that are never lit
they are ridiculous and smell of ass after a month
Oh, and fancy dinnerware, oh, yes, we have this gorgeous set of plates and cups, but we NEVER cherryING USE THEM.
NOT UNDER MY ROOF DAMN YOU
OVER MY DEAD AND DRIED CARCACE

                  1. @zennx Not even the hand-stitched throw pillows?

Sunday, 05-Jun-16 04:34:18 UTC from web
                    1. @scribus ESPECIALLY THE HAND-STITCHED ONES
they try to show more dedication that the others, but in the end they are all useless at being pillows

          2. @zennx People have argued that even labeling "troublesome" content can be a problem and cause de facto censorship by restricting potential audience. I agree, in that making anything same sex a rating level higher (like when Ellen came out), or keeping "alternative" political viewpoints in a restricted access library, would be stealth or light censorship. But saying, "Hey, this is a thing, do or don't, it's your call," and then still along it openly available (as most trigger warnings are done), that isn't censorship, it's basically just ratings or classification. I'm certain there's a point where the line blurs, but TW isn't it.
