    Should I seriously be trying a pacifist run my first time through Undertale?

      @scribus There's nothing stopping you from doing it, I don't think, but I think it's more satisfying if you do it after a neutral run, because of the way the narrative is designed.

      @scribus I think you can't get true pacifist ending without beating the game on Neutral

      @scribus You will always get a Neutral ending first (unless you do Genocide) BUT if you play it as if you were going through the Pacifist Run (sparing everyone & doing the friendship quests), you can just reload your save after the final boss and play the Pacifist content.

      @scribus Conversely, if you fail to meet the criteria of a pacifist ending and then get a neutral ending, it'll make you play the game over again.
