    While we are at ranting: as stupid as the Brony Study is, the sheer existence of the thought that the Brony Community would get organized in an hierarchical way surprised me. Apparently,there are two kinds of fandom - because the fandom as I know it is no "elite" - it is just a bunch of people who like a certain thing and have a slightly other way of communication which forms a different kind of culture which is more harmonic because it only has to exist in certain contextes.

          @luckyjack G1 is pretty decent, G2 seems okay for a cartoon of its era, it's just G3 (and 3.5 especially) that raises my hackles.

              @redenchilada Well, the second generation of the cartoons, then. I don't really know (or, thankfully, care) whether it was associated with the 2nd gen of toys, I just know it was the 2nd distinct era of the cartoons.
