Yesterday I set up a Telegram account because my D&D used IRC before and it didn't work out that well (lack of offline messaging). Today a friend randomly told me that he noticed that I use Telegram now, however I never told him myself. He got a notification about that. To be honest I didn't intend to tell anybody that. I thought Telegram was all about privacy and security but this incident tells me another story.

@adiwan It's because he shared your contact information with them so that he could be notified when/if you signed up.

@xrevan86 Sure but they wanted also something that works on any device and they want the convenience. At least it's not whatsapp.

@adiwan I've failed to find anything more convinent than Conversations. I guess it's my freakness talking :-).
