      2. @derpyshy Playing a bad guy in games is often much more fun than playing a good guy. In real-life it is more rewarding as well, but I just can't do that to the ones I care about :x

    3. @cavatina Y'all will need to do 3 playthroughs of NV to get the good/bad/neutral endings, as they're split by faction. Of course, who you think the good/bad/neutral factions are depends entirely on your point of view

      1. @ceruleanspark Ah, awesome x3, I've seen both of the endings for being pure evil on Fallout 3, gonna do the Good playthrough when i have the PC i'm getting soon. Then i'm gonna do the 3 playthroughs of NV, but keep my saves all archived so i dont have to start again to get to the faction choices. Or are they really early on?

        1. @cavatina You tend to need different skillsets for the 3 factions missions. Some factions are sneakier than others.

          1. @ceruleanspark Ah, so it's very early on?

            1. @cavatina Well, the way I play, I tend to get lockpick and science maxed as early as possible regardless, but if you don't do that, then you might miss your chance

              1. @ceruleanspark Ah, right. In My Fallout 3 i focused mostly on weaponwry because i wanted to be ruthless xD

              2. @ceruleanspark My way of playing exactly, but i add in repair.

                1. @techdisk42 Between my usually high int and my abuse of the "Skilled"-trait-glitch on consoles, I don't tend to need repair for a while.

                  1. @ceruleanspark I play on PC, but i never use console execpt for stupid things, like noclipping to the top of a random train and running around. *shrug*

                    1. @techdisk42 I meant on games consoles. The glitch is patched on the PC. If you choose the skilled trait at the start (-10% XP in exchange for +5 to all skills), then remove and re-add it when you leave Goodsprings, you end up with +10 to all skills, whilst the XP penalty stays the same. You can remove and read it again at the Sink in Old World Blues for +15.

                      1. @ceruleanspark Ah, that makes sense. I know i had a little stupid fun and chose four eyes as one of my traits at the start. Cant remember the other. Well, at least it gives me a reason to have authority glasses on all the time! (and with there being reading glasses right behind doc at the beginning, it isnt really a hinderance)

                        1. @techdisk42 The thing about skilled is...there's basically no penalty to it, even if you don't cheat. There's far more XP in the game than you need to hit max level(by a factor of 4 or something), and enemies level dynamically with you, so being "underleveled" is impossible. There's basically no reason not to take it.

                          1. @ceruleanspark Ah. I should check what my second one was. I know it wasnt wild wasteland, which i wish it were.

                            1. @techdisk42 I don't like WW because it removes some actually useful stuff in favour of a few not-that-funny things. For instance, the YCS186 unique Gauss Rifle is unobtainable with WW on.

      2. @ceruleanspark Oh yeah, i like the new avatar. What prompted the change, if not just it was time to change?
