    1. @mostapplethingofall once you've set your nick, type /ns register 'password' 'your email'

Tuesday, 21-Aug-12 08:56:15 UTC from web
    2. @mostapplethingofall first type /nick 'whatever' to set your nick, then type /msg nickserv register 'yourpassword' 'youremail'

    3. @mostapplethingofall Oh yeah, heh, let me hop back in there real quick. And the command's '/msg NickServ register email password'.

Tuesday, 21-Aug-12 09:00:03 UTC from web
      1. @redenchilada Most IRC clients shorten that to /ns, but the full command might work better.

    4. @mostapplethingofall Oh, sorry. Password comes before email.

      1. @redenchilada This is why I never just give someone a command. Instead I give them the command to get help for that command.

    5. @mostapplethingofall I always mix those up, sorry. :x

    7. @mostapplethingofall Whatever server you're on doesn't have nickserv then. Are you on quakenet? Try sending the message to Q

      1. @toksyuryel No, StormBit has NickServ.

    8. @mostapplethingofall Oh, you haven't figured out that you can change windows yet. You don't have to leave channels to do that, just click on the different windows to swap to them. Most IRC clients represent them like tabs in your browser.

    9. @mostapplethingofall It means you're already registered. One of your commands went through properly.

    10. @mostapplethingofall Do you see the thing labeled "ACT"? The numbers that appear after that are the numbers of the windows that have activity in them. Press alt plus one of those numbers to swap to that window (alt+0 for window 10. for windows 11-20, use alt+qwertyuiop in the same way). You can get a list of all open windows by using the /window command.

    11. @mostapplethingofall I don't think StormBit's NS sends an email. Makes it kinda redundant to request it, but eh. You don't need it to keep your account secure, anyway.

      1. @redenchilada s/keep your account secure/activate your account. Thoughts are coming out of my head wrong today.

    12. @mostapplethingofall If you insist on using irssi, I recommend replacing your chanact item with the adv_windowlist status bar. You can find that here http://anti.teamidiot.de/static/nei/*/Code/Irssi/adv_windowlist.pl
