        1. @derpyshy Paint Tool SAI seems really popular with tablet artists. I haven't used it because I have yet to get one for my birthday/christmas. Otherwise, GIMP is also good!

          1. @pony There's a Linux-version of SAI? :D

Thursday, 06-Sep-12 15:55:06 UTC from MuSTArDroid
            1. @derpyshy good point.. I didn't actually check that.. Looks like no sadly, and there's really nothing that compares to SAI it seems from what I'm reading.. You might google SAI substitutes in Linux, but meh..

                        1. @pony Is it just a program/plugin, or is it something that changes the whole OS? :/

Thursday, 06-Sep-12 16:11:00 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                          1. @derpyshy It changes nothing about the OS as I recall, nope. I used it in Ubuntu. It took some reading, but I was happy with the result and it meant I didn't have to install XP in a VM so that was nice.

                          2. @derpyshy It's a program you use to launch windows program. 50% of the time they don't work, but it's nice when they do.

                  2. @pony @derpyshy Also for the record, Paint Tool SAI does indeed work under WINE, but I had problems getting the tablet pressure sensitivity working so, there's that.

                      2. @pony You don't, WINE comes with its own implementation of the Windows system files. If you have Windows installed next to Linux, though, it can sometimes make use of those files to make things run better.
