@widget Tagging spoilers allows them to be easily skipped past just by eyeballing the presence of the tag, or even hidden entirely by scripts or plugins.

@widget "shouldn't decode things" is a lie and you know it. There's no reason at all why people should have to guess whether something that's encoded might be a spoiler or not when there's a perfectly reasonable and simple way of warning them when it is. It's called good manners. It's called being considerate.
