@widget I always hated this whole panel stuff on GNOME2, it caused quite an un-streamlined user experience. But hey, to each their own. It's Linux, after all, so we choose what we want :P

@widget Cause it's loading all the fonts. I kid you not, you install word and suddenly 5 minutes added to your boot time.

@minti Nice! fits your name xD but I'm using Ultimate edition which a Unity turned off my default and it uses Cinnamon

@widget It's stupid, but true. xD Windows keeps all your fonts loaded into memory while it's on.

@shadowdash454 I tried Cinnamon, didn't like it much so I switched back to Mate xD

@minti So if you have a lot of fonts, it affects boot time and memory usage by the OS xD

@minti The only thing I disliked about Cinnamon was that I couldn't get it to run on my machine. XD

@widget GNOME3 is actually pretty decent if you can ignore the fact that it likes to crash every now and then, but slightly less often than KDE4. I honestly enjoy using it.

@widget Well to be fair, if you installed a distro then changed the desktop environment I'd pretty sure that doesn't count as "normal" XD

@omni I tried Gnome3, first thing I noticed was you could barely change anything. :( I removed it.

@minti Having more settings available without gnome-tweak-tool would dramatically improve GNOME3, I agree there.

@widget True, but again if you had scripts you made yourself that point to gnome-terminal rather than mate-terminal. xD

@omni Yeah but Unity in Gnome3 is not very good for Desktops

@shadowdash454 Still better than Windows 8. Also, even though Unity is based on GNOME3, I'm actually using GNOME3 when I say GNOME3, not Unity.

@omni Yeah I like Gnome 3 better with Unity turned off expect it crashes sometimes
