Let's see if this works in the devil browser IE.

@xeleanorxrigbyx The theme needs an IE-only box that covers the site and tells the user to get a better browser. One sec.

@redenchilada I don't think we get many people who'd use IE by choice.
-
@ceruleanspark People on school computers will, most schools don't have Firefox or anything installed.
-
@fortecadenza every school I know has firefox installed
-
@abigpony I've been to four and only one of them has had it.
-
@fortecadenza my middle and high school had it and every high school I know has it with most offering chrome as an alternative.
-
-
-
@fortecadenza Yes. That is in fact, what I said.
-
@ceruleanspark Huh. Maybe I should pay more attention.
-
-
@fortecadenza That's not "by choice". Really, I would even use Lynx if I could.

@redenchilada Haha, it does. I can't get this site to work properly at work for some reason. I was taking a shot in the dark with IE, and it works even less then. >.<

@xeleanorxrigbyx Functionally, or is the theme messed up?

@redenchilada Theme looks great. But for some reason my dashes come up on their own page, the feed doesn't update and if someone responds it doesn't turn red. Just this PC though, and all 3 browsers. Tried clearing cache and cookies, restarting and updating java but it still doesn't work.
Monday, 03-Dec-12 14:34:11 UTC from web-
@xeleanorxrigbyx That means either you've disabled JavaScript, or said scripts are not loading or otherwise erroring out.

@redenchilada Would that be by individual browser or the PC?
Monday, 03-Dec-12 14:36:18 UTC from web-
@xeleanorxrigbyx The browser, if it's only on IE. But quite frankly I'd more likely wager it just errors out because of some issue with how IE parses JS.

@redenchilada I tried with IE, Chrome and Firefox. Same thing across all browsers. Still troubleshooting though.

@xeleanorxrigbyx Odd. Javascript's on, you said? /CC @widget
Monday, 03-Dec-12 14:43:57 UTC from StatusNet Android-
@redenchilada Just checked it in my primary (Chrome) and it says it's enabled. What's odd is I haven't changed anything on this PC (unless it updated something automatically) and it's only this PC. My personal laptop cruises along just fine.

@xeleanorxrigbyx That might just be how your place of employment sets their network up, then. :/

@redenchilada possibly. Just started like last week oddly enough. Everything else seems to work fine (including sites I'd think they'd have an issue with, like Facebook)

@xeleanorxrigbyx as a temp fix, install the status net program maybe?

<fauno> we're using thunderbird at work but the mailserver is being migrated to ms exchange :c || <fauno> (the mailserver admin resigned because of this decision)
Monday, 03-Dec-12 15:28:51 UTC from web-
@omni Interesting choice. The only reason I'd resign over a mailserver is if it was migrating to Lotus Notes/Domino.
-
@ceruleanspark Apparently the other server admins also wanted to get rid of POP and IMAP support, in favor for MAPI/RPC. I honestly know nothing about Lotus Notes, except that I didn't hear a lot of good things about it, and I have no clue what Domino is.
Monday, 03-Dec-12 15:54:34 UTC from web-
@omni It's best not to think about Domino. Much like other Lovecraftian horrors, attempting to understand it will destroy you.
