@mushi I can't carry a gun, but with a knife and those I can easily take on a mugger. Without them I can't grab a knife without risking losing a hand.

@redenchilada Point taken. Christmas is not so big of a thing in this country though, even if the official religion is catoliscism. I manage to avoid most of the family stuff via either scheduling other stuff for the same day, good and polite explanations of why I don't want to go, or holding feuds and vendettas against some members of the extended family.

@redenchilada I have some very good excuses, like having a sworn vendetta against a cousin and an aunt after the idiot tried to kill me from behind with a pole and failed spectacularly. My mom knows it's better to let me stay at home that having to deal with me furious, standing on the table holding my aunt by the neck, and driving away everyone willing to help her with a machete.

@bowandlyre Because I didn't crush and humilliate the piece of s*** before he tought he could take on me, to avoid needless suffering for my grandmother. Afer the incident she showed weakness when she didn't ban my cousin and aunt from the family core, so now I really don't care if I have to destroy her in the process of justice and revenge. Both had their chance and wasted it.
