    1. @vampixxkitty The presence of a full unicode range of fonts contributes nothing to deciphering this.

          1. @vampixxkitty No problem. Sorry to play the lawyer, though, but you have to expect people not to take seriously something they can't read. They don't know that it is basically a "life sucks" post, and as such, they won't know they shouldn't reply in a witty way.

        2. @nerthos Tried it, doesn't make much sense.

          1. @kamikaze Yeah, you have to kind of decipher it, since ideogram-based languages aren't really compatible with western languages.

      2. @kamikaze I am not in need of your witty comment right now.

Translation: They should do it! German isn't very hard to learn. We learn English or even French in school, so they could learn German in return. #

            1. @broniebrown I actually want to learn it, but I don't have the time xD

              1. @nerthos Once I met a guy from Tennessee here. He learned German within a half year and he can speak German fairly well, not perfect but for the given time quite good. He went from the US to Germany in order to study electric engineering.

                1. @broniebrown Well, I needed a lot longer to learn German.

                2. @broniebrown I had English classes for 9 years in school. And I'm still learning. I'd like to take some advanced classes about different dialects (vocabulary, pronunciation, regions, social classes). But I don't have access to something like that.

                  1. @kamikaze It sounds quite excotic. I don't think there are any courses that offer this kind of content. Studying English or a study to become a translator would rather fit to your needs.

                    1. @broniebrown Well, that's not really what I want. Translation is a rather frustrating activity, English and German are not bijective, thus translating from one language to another always removes intended meaning and injects meaning that was not intended. I want to understand the social and cultural currents of English and be able to navigate them. Like an actor.

                      1. @kamikaze A friend of mine study translating for media (or something similar sounding). He learns how to translate according to the actual meaning of the sentences and localise.

                    2. @broniebrown And of course I want to learn the skill of speaking in different dialects.

            1. @vampixxkitty You completely misunderstood what I wrote. Which was the whole point of this.
