  1. # Why doesn't # have a bass clef as a cutie mark, considering that she plays contrabass?

    1. @kamikaze Probably because art aspect designers don't tend to be musicians as well.

      1. @thelastgherkin Try again, be more imaginative. I want an explanation with crime, conspiracies and love affairs.

        1. @kamikaze # She was brutalized with her violin by an ex-lover which deeply marred her love of the instrument, yet, in an effort to overcome and not let her past rule her, she adopted the bass and continued doing what she loves, but in a different octave.

          1. @kamikaze the conspiracy is that Celestia instructed her parents to name her Octavia knowing all this would happen and that her cutie mark would one day be an octave higher than her what she'd chosen to play professionally. The name was chosen to give the young mare hope that she had, innate within herself, even after receiving her cutie mark, the ability to transform and become whoever she wanted.

        2. @kamikaze There was an art aspect designer who dated a musician, but she spurned him and so he got his revenge by including technically inaccurate musical symbols in all of his art.

    2. @kamikaze because ponies. Also, we know for a fact cutie mark =/= their job, or at least not always. Pinkie Pie throws parties but her actual job is helping out at sugarcube corner. Twilight's talent is magic but works at a library.
