         @nerthos Yeah, but if the team uses Faust's characters they could do a lot more than just release the engine I think since a finished product is required for various things. I'd ideally love to see the non-pony original characters AND a pony mod

            @pony @nerthos from what I gather from various commentaries, they can't do anything like that because the engine isn't generic enough to simply allow mugen style sprite and hitbox swapping.

                  @nerthos The moral of the story is "If you're going to spend thousands of hours and real money creating a game, don't base it entirely on IP you don't have the rights to" The second moral is "If you're going to use someone elses IP without permission, don't advertise the fact you're doing that at international events like EVO"

                     @ceruleanspark They didn't submit themselves to EVO. The fans did. And they tried to get themselves out of it, but the people running EVO put the fans first and tried to compromise.
