@darkw00d Fallout 1 IS better than Skyrim.
Wednesday, 20-Feb-13 00:41:35 UTC from web-
@darkw00d deadspace
-
@darkw00d Fallout because open world.
-
@darkw00d Bioshock for story, Fallout for story and longevity, Deadspace for BOOEGLY BOO I SCARED YOU HAHAHA, also maybe story.
-
@madflavors the story of a man with a serious problem with unstomped things.
-
@darkw00d bioshock is the fisrt FPS i liked in 15 years of gaming, so biochock
-
@darkw00d Bioshock or Fallout. Dead Space is just SO SLOW
-
@darkw00d Fallout 3 I'd say. The least you should do is the main story, if you then decide to dislike the location go play New Vegas
-
@darkw00d I'm imune to horror, since that's my favorite movie genre, so I couldn't rlly tell ya, my favorite horror game series though would b either Saw or Deadspace
-
@darkw00d You want something that will seriously scare you? Try th 1998 Gunmetal. It wasn't a horror game, but damn if it wasn't compelling
-
@darkw00d Scariness? Silent Hill, then.
-
@epicrainbowdashfan Sounds totes awesome!
-
@jjpicklegherkinzombie You're just hatin' on Caesar
-
@jjpicklegherkinzombie That's why I always took ED-E and broterhood lady with me. And once I started one-shooting things, just ED-E for the sensor perk.
-
@darkw00d It's a good game, it's just too slow paced.
-
@darkw00d in my opinion, no, but for others, HELL YEA, but again, I'm immune to horror
-
@jjpicklegherkinzombie >2013 >not 2012+1
-
@jjpicklegherkinzombie I RP it, yeah, but more than one companion usually means getting swarmed when they ruin an ambush, or them getting killed by a .50 AP round to the head when I'm trying to hit a mother deathclaw.
-
@darkw00d and forbiden!
-
@darkw00d god as in god of war, if so, highly recommended series, but not scary at all, gory, but not scary
-
@darkw00d Black and White. Best game to play god.
-
@widget not all games by EA are bad quality, Deadspace is really good quality and its by EA
-
@widget yea, that game just plane out sucked
-
@widget sim city I mean
-
@widget well then, we completely like different type of games
-
@widget I'm thinking of a different sims series then, but I've watched my cousin play that one, I could barely keep myself from puking
-
@widget Sims 1 was good. 2 too but got me bored earlier. It was too easy to exploit game mechanics to basically win the game.
-
@nerthos Fallout 1 is better than ponies I would say
-
@critialcloudkicker Fallout 1 was simply great. A minor detail I loved from that game was the damage calculation. If you had enough protection you would be hit for no damage. In recent games some dude out of a ten years famine can punch your power armor and still deal a point of damage.
-
@nerthos Barefist VS power armor would be 0 dmg if you ask me
-
@darkw00d You have a wrong concept of what Fallout 1 is. Go and play it. It's more like Baldur's Gate than a text-based RPG.
-
@critialcloudkicker Every hit you get on a modern Bethesda game, if it's overwhelmed by your armor, deals 1 damage. For some reason.
-
@nerthos Possibly to fix the "problem" that arrived when people started ranting on the forums that they could not get out of their predicament resolving around being ammo-less and boxxed in by 2 Enclave Soldiers
-
@critialcloudkicker Sissies. Enclave soldiers are SUPPOSED to be hard to damage. You don't carry enough ammo, it's your problem, not the game's. Enclave soldiers were stupidly underpowered in 3.
-
@nerthos I hear you, still, if enough people want something then someone will eventually listen. It is the primary reason why WoW is a game even a 3 year old with a solid attention span could beat.
-
@critialcloudkicker The devs should just put a difficulty slider with "little girl mode" on it. Man, I miss old WoW. I'm even thinking about making a 2.00 server.
-
@nerthos Who wants to run Black Temple ?
-
@nerthos Also, yes, it would not have hurt to have a nightmare-mode mod or something for FO3. Also the "
-
@critialcloudkicker also the hardcore mode of New Vegas sucked really hard... all I have to do is drink water and eat from time to time ? Oh... who needs sleep ? ... eat cacti e'ry day :D
-
@critialcloudkicker Did enough runs. I want something as close to vanilla as possible, whilst still being able to play a sin'dorei paladin.
-
@critialcloudkicker Yeah, I did my first playthrough on hardcore, and it was pretty damn easy after playing FO1
-
@nerthos Well, I do not think it is going to be very worthwhile to make a server and expect nice and or long term results... Hmm... I would invite you to come play Guild Wars 2 though... It is not WoW by a long shot, but it is a really nice game. And no monthly fees.
-
@nerthos Bloodknights, they were called bloodknights. I would prefer to make a Sin'Dorei Warrior though, at least that makes more sense lore-wise than hunters methinks
-
@critialcloudkicker I already play GW2, but on a different server. I have some experience with servers from running a 3.35 one
-
@nerthos Oh, right I forgot. My brain is part mush due to the time right now :<
-
@critialcloudkicker I remember one of the low-level quests for the sin'dorei, a magister said "Using magic to create constructs of brute force? Isn't that why we allied with the lesser races in the first place?" Warriors are not really the first choice for modern day sin'dorei. After all, they were aristocrats for thousands of years.
-
@nerthos Lets see, Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Paladin, Death knight; Scout, Warrior, Felsworn, Ranger, Demon hunter, Necromancer (RPG); Priest, Sorceress, Spell breaker, Blood mage (WC3); Druid (Lore)
-
@nerthos @critialcloudkicker what are you guys talking about? sounds cool
-
@mushi Warcraft
-
@nerthos oooh, i only played it once. against my firends. i died
-
@mushi A long long time ago, in a galaxy far away, and made up, was a planet called Azeroth. We are talking about the Sin'Dorei, Also known as Blood Elves.
-
@critialcloudkicker Well, can't deny they could be warriors on the RPG. But remember they're direct descendants of Aszhara's highborne, and whilst they had warrior guards in the palace, they didn't really consider them on their level. Of course, under the rule of the Sunstrider dinasty, they became less... bigot? but they're still pretty fond of high horses. Also I don't remember a single highborne or sin'dorei druid.
-
@nerthos The first bag you get ( 4 slot ) in WoW by sheer questing is a druid
-
@critialcloudkicker Oh, right, the dude at sunstrider isle. But wasn't he a magister?
-
@nerthos To my knowledge magister was a title of accomplishment, not a profession/class
-
@jjpicklegherkinzombie f u asterisk asterisk? #banned for word filter evasion ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
@critialcloudkicker All magisters were adept to the arcane. Whilst much of their research did fall into druidic ground, since the main concern they had was to restore their land after the plague, they did so as mages, not druids.
-
@jjpicklegherkinzombie The main quest was really disappointing. Also you could kill alduin with master level magic before you were supposed to, breaking the questline.
-
@nerthos I remember that the warcraft 2 manual talked about "elven druids" . And I remember High Botanist Freywinn. You might be on to something though. But still. I really doubt that there was not a single descent of the Highbourne that teaches the Sin'Dorei the art of Druidism. I am pretty sure there even was a Sin'Dorei Druid of the Talon in a questline in Hyjal ( Cataclysm ). As for Warriors... Where are my spellblades ?
-
@critialcloudkicker Spellblades aren't warriors. They're a great class I would have played though. Druidism came to be around the time of the first Legion invasion, so there was no druid among th highborne when they floated to the eastern kingdoms. There ARE sin'dorei botanists, but any class can learn botanism. And Cata doesn't count.
-
@critialcloudkicker Oh, do not forget, There is a dungeon within the dungeons of time where you go back to the time of the invasion of Stratholme where you have to help and defend King Arthas from the Infinite Dragonflight... half of the high-elf forces helping you are druids
-
@nerthos Yes, Cataclysm is where the dole hit the fan so to speak... It would even have been better to go back in time to an era before the first sundering... but noooo... they had to make another sundering.
-
@critialcloudkicker Those are hardly accurate, try comparing Thrall's escape one with the original one described in the book.
-
@critialcloudkicker It was only a matter of time until Blizzard's fall from grace.
-
@nerthos I actually never read the books for they were filled with words I could not comprehend at that time. Now that my reading skills actually ( estimate ) are a 8.5 however I could go read these books BUT sadly I would probably only feel a sadness fall over me for I plan not to go back to WoW. I have seen too much loudmouth evil blankflanks there to even want to go back.
-
@critialcloudkicker I actually got a good part of my vocabulary from those books, since they were the first English books I read. They're totally worth it. And yeah, I left WoW for that same reason, though I would play again on a less idiotic server.
-
@nerthos Better wait for "Titan" ... and then "World of Warcraft 2" somewhere in 2026
-
@critialcloudkicker Hahaha. I want a new Warcraft RTS.
-
@nerthos Do you really think that now that Blizzard ( or Activision for that matter ) have smelled the money that blindsided fans pour into their favorite game even though the actual content could be done by 1 person and a labmonkey with access to medicinal MJ ? I do not think you will EVER get to see an RTS ever again, unless if they can make you pay a lot for small-time content.
-
@critialcloudkicker I know, and it sucks, because Blizzard was one of the best game companies before they ruined WoW. I don't hope to see a new Warcraft RTS, but I would like to anyway.
-
@widget Why, widget. I'm laughing too much, unable to eat.
-
@nerthos At least we still have Maxis... oh wait... Westwood studio's ? Bullfrog ? Bioware ? ... Argh, I guess they are all dead huh :( ... Ahwell, My best hopes remain to lie with Bethesda, Valve, NCsoft, and pretty much all indie game developers EVER then ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_indie_game_developers ... yay ... a spark of hope in the darkness...
-
@critialcloudkicker Valve still hasn't ruined it's main franchise. I've lost a good deal of hope in Bethesda with Skyrim's over simplified game mechanics and focus on consoles though. Indies ARE a shimmering beacon of light in the darkness though. NCsoft is also a good bet.
-
@nerthos I would have put Gearbox on the list for sheer bravery though. But I remain unsure.
-
@critialcloudkicker I don't know enough about Gearbox to put it on the list.
-
@nerthos The 3 things you should know is that they are making Duke Nukem Forever. Have made Borderlands 1 and 2. And have recently released Aliens Colonial Marines. About that last one I really have my doubts. If they can make that game a good one in the eyes of the fans they are one of the good ones methinks. For it is terrihard to make a game around a movie franchise that the fans of the movie do not love to eat up and spit out
-
@critialcloudkicker You have a point. Let's hope for the best.
-
@nerthos Sush an odd thing to say isn't it ? does anyone ever wish for the worst ?
-
@critialcloudkicker I do
-
@critialcloudkicker It's more common than you think.
-
@nerthos Hmm, I am going to choose not to think about it then for the hour of bed has arrived
-
