@broniebrown You saw that video before too huh ? The CleverNoobs one ( dated March 2013 ) or the one from December 2012 ? Point is I do not really 100% agree with either of them, but the truth in the middle IMHO is.

@broniebrown You know, I am not sure if I want to see it go down like that. On the other hand, if it goes down like that it would certainly be a spectacle to see ( "some people just want to see the world burn" comes to mind ). So I can agree with you there. But I am somehow afraid I will be bored if there are only Indie games by Indie dev's out there to stroke the gamer inside of me. Then again I would probably take up an active search for a better body within a month or so... So yea... The gamer inside of me says "no no" the logic and human inside of me screams "Bring it !!!"

@critialcloudkicker I know, I know it is not the most desired way. But sometimes the system has to break apart to make it better. The gaming companies made very poor decisions and they have to suffer because they made them. DRM, bad and short games...

@broniebrown day 1 DLC's, DLC's alltogether, pre-order bonusses, tiered pre-order unlocks. Bad business practice. Bait'n'switch tactics ( Colonial Marines serves as a prime example here ). Not listening to the fanbase. Acting like a prick because "I work in the video games industry and I have a papayas, 2 things you will never have" - Jennifer "Hamburger" Hepler ( < I believe you can sum this up with "idiots on social media" .. or something )

@broniebrown Speaking of things that will only become better once they break the first time. A: I do not think we have a new Nintendo do dig us out of yet another Video Game Crash ( unless if we can rely on Indie dev's ) B: I wonder when the economy will crash, all it needs is a little push, like 3 oil-suppliers running out of oil.

@critialcloudkicker I don't believe that indie developers can hold the industry up as they are now. The game programmers have to get farther away from the publishers again so that the publishers are only responsible for the publishing and not taking the programmers under pressure like now.

@broniebrown Can Indie dev's get us through a video game crash ? Probably, I am not going to say yes or no here. Especially with fancy words like "Kickstarter Fatigue" being throw around. However you can not help but to see that there are some funny things going on surrounding Indie Dev's and how some games come to be. Unknown world was a few inches away from death over a dozen times and the fanbase saved them. I believe Skullgirls did some funnehbusiness ( a lot of people are looking at that and know more than I do ) ... And... Then there is, undeniably, Fenoxo and his Trials in Tainted Space ( this last one is VERY #nsfw people )

@thelastgherkin Lets see, it is highschool. Thinking from a standpoint that they are going to use existing names and perhaps colour layouts for the human characters in Equestria Girls. I am pretty sure we are short... The famous nasty girl, the goodie 2 shoes girl, the jock, the cheerleader, the group of nerds, the group of followers, the person with the unusual face and/or disability and/or "feature", the exchange student, and the insane person with the anger issues... And probably a very narsisistic "I carry a mirror around at all times" person, I am pretty sure that there aren't any existing ponies like this so... yea...

@thelastgherkin Lets see, my highschool had 9 tables during lunch hour, where it was especially easy to spot the "groups" of people we had * closes eyes* Lets see. Man this is freaky, like looking into the past... We have 1 table in the corner with the techno-nerds, about 12 of them, The table was near always filled with talks about epic conquest, or the melodies of Pokemon ( or similar ). Another table had like 6 jocks and/or football(soccer, all year round) enthousiasts, Bunch of neanderthals who would simply not shut up. Another table had like 10 wallflowers, people who never talked to eachother, too focussed on what they were doing themselves. We had a cheerleader squad of 6 really obnoxious but good looking girls, and 1 really ugly one. Then we had the art-sholes as they became known after a certain incident, roughly 5 people drawing pictures for life. And The other 3 tables were pretty normal students I guess. I am pretty sure we will see steriotypes of sorts in Equestria Girls
