                                                                                                                                                                                @scoot Ok, so Piarfe is part of royalty (not like the first in line but she is one of the king-to-be's younger sisters) and they arrange a marriage for her when she is really young (like 8-10) so her tutor is taking her to the kingdom to meet the guy she will marry and then this big ol' monster attacks! Her tutor JUST manages to get her out of water onto this beach and she casts a spell w/ her singing magic. Piarfe gets these fishy legs (the tutor is like the master of singing magic) and suddenly the tutor is dragged down by the monster. Piarfe is found by a villager from the goat village next to the beach, and they adopt her. But the beach is considered bad luck from then on, so no one goes there. Piarfe never finds out that she's royalty or that she was a fish. A few years later Piarfe is hanging by the beach (she goes there bc it is the only place she can get alone, since she feels a bit alienated since she is different to the goat villagers) I will continue because I am running out

                                                                                                                                                                                @scoot Ok so Piarfe is hanging by the beach by herself when suddenly Scobias (goat guy) goes there! And she is so surprised since no one goes there that she hides behind a rock. They have been around each other but they don't really know one another. Scobias sits down and writes into this book (a journal but Piarfe doesn't know that) and he writes for a while, and Piarfe just watches him. She likes him because he is the only one who actually comes to the beach besides her, so she thinks he must be a nice guy. Suddenly Scobias notices her and he's embarrassed but then they befriend each other and it's nice. Later, maybe a year, Piarfe is waiting for him by the beach to come hang out when this bandit or a monster (haven't decided yet) appears and fights her. S/he drags like these giant claws through her eyes and she is found and healed, though she becomes blind. She doesn't go to the beach anymore because of that and she and Scobias, while still good friends, grow apart slightly.

                                                                                                                                                                                                    @scoot Ok so basically there are four, like, "types" of people (dang now that I think about it it's kind of like Avatar): Merpeople, goat people, moth people and horse people (think centaurs). None of these commune with each other, though they aren't at war. So this guy who no one knows what he is (idk yet he's probably just a regular human being) comes to a village of each tribe and chooses one kid to help unite them (but he doesn't tell anyone that, haha). He chooses the four main characters, Piarfe, Scobias, Cannuick and Adara. That's what the powers are for, there is a huge war to be taken place that they end. Also, you may have noticed that Adara is an alpaca and that isn't on the list. That's because the alpacas are said to be extinct (they aren't, but that's a spoiler for another day) and I will continue bc I'm going over again
