  1. It's funny how the terraria guy simply doesn't sleep due to a lack of a bed.

        1. @nerthos You can and should make a bed, though. Sets your spawn point for a start

          1. @scoot Once I figure how to make one.

Saturday, 06-Jul-13 00:13:15 UTC from web
            1. @nerthos I assume you have an anvil and furnace already

Saturday, 06-Jul-13 00:14:02 UTC from web
              1. @scoot No anvil yet. I spent most of the time building a proper fortress and being gangraped by floating eyes.

                1. @nerthos that's why I like going the mage route. You kill almost anything very quickly.

                  1. @flamingpandaomg Once I actually get some iron things will drastically change.

Saturday, 06-Jul-13 00:27:00 UTC from web
                2. @nerthos You need to get 5 iron bars to make an anvil and another 1 iron bar to make a chain so you can make a sawmill, then that builds I think it's some sort of spinning wheel or something that makes the cloth for the bed out of cobwebs. By the way before an update, all it took was 10 cobwebs and some wood at a workbench. I dunno why they made it so complex.

                  1. @scoot I like complex. As lonh as it isn't like asian MMOs where crafting the most basic item means endless grinding to get an item that common sense dictates should be a 100% drop, like a cow's horn.

Saturday, 06-Jul-13 00:28:21 UTC from web
                    1. @nerthos Well cobwebs can be hard to come by, but other than that it's just a whole bunch of hoops to jump through for no reason so if that's your cup of tea you'll probably enjoy Terraria

                      1. @scoot The crafting system is so much better than minecraft

                        1. @nerthos The crafting system in Minecraft is a joke.

                              1. @thepinkiepiex There is no hook on the minecraft fishing pole... Fish just like biting in spider-string... As for the bobber... that is magic

    3. @huggablysoft Well it does look better than both graphically. I'll give that a look.

    5. @huggablysoft Is it an one-time buy?

Saturday, 06-Jul-13 00:38:22 UTC from web
    6. @huggablysoft I got Minecraft for £6 and I would never pay more than that for it, I'm amazed people will pay out £15 or whatever it is now.

Saturday, 06-Jul-13 00:38:57 UTC from web
      1. @scoot I think that translates to roughly $~9 and $~18? I dunno

Saturday, 06-Jul-13 00:39:53 UTC from web
      2. @scoot Well right now it's $26.95 to buy a copy for a friend, so take that as it is.

          1. @thepinkiepiex Mine was free technically but I got it back when it was in beta and it was $15 or maybe cheaper.

    8. @huggablysoft but they added in the mod function now :D it's going to be so much easier to install them

Saturday, 06-Jul-13 00:41:08 UTC from web
    9. @huggablysoft He was always planning on raising the price. When I bought it, it was this tiny game in very early stages of development and it said "50% off during Alpha stage!" or something. It's not over twice the price I paid and thank god I got it when I did
