@pegasusjones Reminds me of every time I decide to play Morrowind or Oblivion. Toss in all mods that seem interesting, game stops working, I spend days resinstalling and testing and fixing until it works. Then I play it for a couple days and then I kind of just stop. It's pretty fun.

@pegasusjones Sorry, hey man!
-
@pegasusjones Oh hello, my apologies.
-
@pegasusjones How's it going?
-
@pegasusjones Sorry, busy playing Pokemon White 2. xD What's up?
-
@pegasusjones Ah, heh. Not very well-versed with mods of any kind
-
@pegasusjones That came out almost a year ago.
-
@pegasusjones It came out a year ago dude. XD
-
@pegasusjones XD buzzed as in the way I think you're talking about?
-
@pegasusjones Aw. Not nearly as fun. :c
-
@flaxx i'm trying to play oblivion, either that game is really hard or a suck that that
-
@mushi You're probably just not used to it. Or you have the difficulty slider all the way to the right which means enemies take you down in a few hits and you have to hit them about a hundred times before they're dead. Or probably more. What kind of character are you playing and what are you trying to do that gets you killed?
-
@flaxx i'm trying am acrobat. I'm having a lot of problems to kill Imps, painted trolls and A certain armored orc in a cave
-
@mushi Trolls are in general really tough enemies. They're fast, hit hard and regenerate health. I'm guessing you're doing the quest with the magic paintbrush? If so, you should have gotten or found (can't quite remember where you get them) some poison that you can apply to your weapon which lets you kill them far easier. Not sure about the orc, it's possible he just happens to be a tough enemy with nice equipment. Might have to go and level a bit before you try to take him down. And also find some nice gear.
-
@flaxx yeah, the paiter gives us a poison deals bigger damages in trolls, but that is not enough, i cant even scape from their hits because their arms are too long and i dont have dosge yet
-
@mushi If you're going ranged with a bow you have to rely on starting any fight with a sneak attack since they deal extra damage. After that you just have to kite them around and shoot them till they drop.
-
@flamingpandaomg i'm going with dadgers and short sword because they are easier to aim with the xbox controller
-
@mushi I liked that game but couldn't play it either. Something about it made it far too difficult. Skyrim however is very nice.
-
@firestormdangerdash my old as hell TV cant run Skyrim with a decent quality, it gets impossible to read the screen
-
@mushi Same thing then. Melee weapons have a huge sneak multiplier compared to bows. If you have to you can invest in making some poisons that'll help with fights since you're squishy.
-
@mushi Hm. What gear do you have? And what level are you? Also, it's not uncommon to have to chug potions in tougher fights on that game. Try to always have some with you, it usually helps a lot. Going with daggers and light armour can be pretty difficult, at least until you have high sneak skill and nice poisons to use. A bow is probably better for taking down trolls and such.
-
@flamingpandaomg yeah, i could make some poisons, i've used all the ones i have. I guess i have to harvest more poison stuff
-
@flaxx yeah, i'm still in the very begining of the game, i'm at lvl 3, and i dont remember my equipment, but they were not good at all, there is not much stuff i can buy in cheydinhall
-
@mushi There's an inn across the river from the dungeon with a single guard outside of it and no one else around. Kill him and loot his stuff.
-
@mushi In Oblivion at least it's easier just to go to one of the alchemy shops in the Imperial City and just buy the ingredients in bulk. They're super cheap. Just have to look up which 2 ingredients you need or figure out on your own which you need.
-
@zeldatra no D=, i dont want to be the bad guy, besides, i dotn want a heavy character
-
@mushi Better stuff will become available after you level up. I'd advice you to go dungeon diving, just run out into the forest and jump down every hole you find, kill everything, loot every thing. Rinse and repeat. Will gain you some levels pretty quickly.
-
@flaxx yes, i've been doing that, but i thought getting some quests from a city would help
-
@pegasusjones i want to be a good guy
-
@mushi Have you tried doing some Fighter's Guild quests? Might help. Some quests are pretty difficult, though.
-
@flaxx i did one already, they told me to go to another town to get more quests, but i havent played since them
-
@pegasusjones and then you became a bad guy
-
@mushi Then play! Kill things! Find other things! Beat the things with the things you find!
-
@flaxx sounds simple
-
@pegasusjones you are horrible
-
@nerthos i remember i went to a dungeon that gave me some good gold
-
@mushi The easy way to kill tough enemies at the start is to get a bow and magical arrows. Sneak-shoot enemies and they'll probably die in one hit.
-
@nerthos i'm trying to make a meeler this time
-
@mushi I'd tell you to kill Umbra for the sword but if you're having trouble with the painted trolls fighting probably the toughest level 50 enemy in the game might not be a good idea.
-
@nerthos yeah... you know where i can get a good dadger or shortsword?
-
@mushi Always have a backup weapon.
-
@nerthos yeah, that could work too
-
@mushi Dungeon loot primarily.
-
@flamingpandaomg it is not working, i only get the same ones
-
@mushi There's one you get from that merchant's quest about the really low prices. It won't be the best iteration of the dagger due to your level but even considering that it'll be a good weapon.
-
@mushi That's literally the only real good way to get weapons and armor. You can't make stuff since it's not Skyrim, and shops are a rip-off and don't sell decent weapons. You do have to get a decent level first because right now your weapon tier will be low for loot.
-
@flamingpandaomg Shops have shop-exclusive "unique" items though
-
@flamingpandaomg ell, maybe i only need to go to better dungeons
-
@mushi It is, once you get into it.
-
@nerthos i will check that when i play again
-
@mushi Dungeons are leveled. All is leveled in Oblivion really.
-
@nerthos yeah, but that way i can get better equips
-
monsutaa kaado! likes this.
-
@nerthos damage 24? wow my dadger's is only 2
-
@nerthos ah, 6000 gold xD
-
@mushi There's a leveled list. At your level it'll do 11 damage. Also while you're in the crypt where you fight the guy who wields that shortsword, check the room for an unique mace.
-
@nerthos ah, 11 is already really good too
