                1. @redenchilada the big deal is the right to privacy and free speech. Its not the stuff that's public that the NSA and echolean like some shadow goggle. Do you honeslt beleive that no one should have any private communication. no one should have any secrets about anything? You can see the kind of oppression that people suffer at the meoment without mass snooping and cataloguing. What will it be like if eveyone had to make evrthing public.

                  1. @vcgriffin To be perfectly honest if private, confidential communication even from the government is that big of a deal it probably shouldn't be conducted over the internet. And let's be honest the government probably doesn't care about that twenty-dollar hooker you're keeping a secret from your wife.

                2. @redenchilada for example take the situation in Russia where thay want to make being gay illegal (or if that makes you feel too smug remember that During the Bush08 campaign he was touting a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage). Now we have a computer system # taht can monitor peoples communication in real time and mark them out for such activities and enforce the full wait of the law upon those individuals. and If you ok with being gay, just move it to abortion clinics, or whatever it is you think should be banned.
