I really don't know what to do. I've never been good at the personal side of running this thing. Leaving aside the fact that having to even ask the question is depressing: How can we make this place more open and friendly?

@ceruleanspark Maybe think before you comment would be a good starting point. I'm willing to bet a lot of these people didn't aim to offend.

@einhorn It was a whole thing about things the government was hiding from people. That kind of thing. They didn't care to hear about it so they completely shut him down and told him off.

@ceruleanspark Only thing I can think of would be to more heavily keep a leash on the whole 'don't be rude to others' rule that doesn't get paid attention to 100% of the time.

@flamingpandaomg Oh, that is a touchy subject, I suppose. Still, it doesn't justify being rude for asking questions. Nopony should feel bad for asking for opinions.

@einhorn I wouldn't even call it asking questions, really. He was providing physical evidence that it was happening and they just didn't want to bother with thinking of a decent response.
