@critialcloudkicker Shin Megami Tensei IV for the 3DS. I just had to swap to a 4GB SD card and it's taking up like half of that already.

@critialcloudkicker I bought the digital copy because it's the cheapest I could find by quite a bit and I like the instant availability of it. That and being able to switch to it any time without needing a cartridge.

@critialcloudkicker The 3DS had it's own 2GB SD card that came with it, but it wasn't enough so I just swapped to a 4GB card that my mom didn't need anymore since she upgraded to an 8GB a while back, so at one point we did but it wasn't because of this.

@critialcloudkicker they take the larger size SDHC cards like you'd see in cameras, so I assume it could take the smaller ones as long as it had an adapter that'd fit.

@flamingpandaomg That is good :) I probably have an adapter or a few lying around ( And a 16GB Micro SDHC ) ... Not sure if any of them are ever going to see a 3DS though. But my little brother and me are going to the city tomorrow ( we both have a free day tomorrow ) to look at the a 3DS XL to see if it tickles our fancy

@critialcloudkicker I swear I have before. In short, the battery is better, the screen's larger, it doesn't feel quite as flimsy (the original feels fine but it does feel slightly flimsy to me), the glasses-free 3D is a little better in the 3DSXL, and the feeling overall is better. It just feels more comfortable to hold.

@critialcloudkicker ......? what do you mean game-related? It's an upgrade in the handheld itself, not in the games. You won't notice a magical increase in gameplay or anything. It's a larger screen with better contrast and battery life. :/

@flamingpandaomg Oh, yea I should probably mention that the last gameboy I owned was one you could put DS and GBA games in... Have not really been paying any attention to the DSI at all... And now I heared there is something like "street pass" which is a total mystery to me...

@critialcloudkicker Oh, well a lot of games have certain things you can trade with players when you pass by them if you're both in standby mode so if you're shopping or something you can possibly have their Miis appear in your games that allow them, or Street Fighter 3D has statues of all the fighters you can collect and trade and fight with others, things like that. The Mii Plaza has little games you can play with other people's Miis and you have to get puzzle pieces from other players and whatnot.

@flamingpandaomg I think I am going to like that remake of Zelda OoT. Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I'd like to try Prof.Layton games. Oh and Pokemon X/Y is definatly on my "keep close attention to this" list... And there is a very big chance I am going play SSB

@flamingpandaomg I like games like Theme Hospital and otherwize build stuff, or demolish it (Blast Corps N64 was a "blast" phun intended ). I like Zelda games overal. I am not such a HUGE fan of Mario 2D sidescrollers ( Although I would welcome the chance to play Mario64 on a handheld ). And I do not think you could EVER play a shooter on a console well. Or at least I coudlnt

@critialcloudkicker Well There's another Zelda game coming out for the 3DS at some point, there's the OoT remake, Pokemon X / Y, There's 3D Mario games out and there's Super Mario 64 DS that'll work just fine which is very close to the original but they added the ability to play as Luigi Wario and Yoshi, Resident Evil has a 3DS game that handles pretty well on its own, and I'm sure there's a lot more games I simply can't think of right now but I'm still very drowsy.

@yodelerty that's just unnecessary complications brought on from trying to put a game that had no business being on the DS, on the DS. That game was made solely so Nintendo could say "Look, our handheld is as powerful as an N64"

@critialcloudkicker Yes, as far as I'm aware. The DS slot exists but the 3DS doesn't have the GBA cartridge slot.

@flamingpandaomg I do not care for the GBA slot that much to be honest. Also there is this ever-expanding virtual console library. I heard they were going to add SNES games ( or maybe they already have done that ) to the 3DS virtual console game library.

@critialcloudkicker They have a lot of older games in the virtual console library. There's a ton of GB, GBC, NES, SNES and all those games on there and they're usually really cheap compared to if you tried to buy a physical cartridge with the games on them.

@critialcloudkicker I know very little about R4 cards as well, but I know it's a way to work around the lack of GBA slot and it lets you run homebrew games and whatnot.

@flamingpandaomg Ah, this is somewhat more than I knew :) ... Are there any active software-counters by Nintendo to make these cards unusable ? I doubt this info matters much since "if" I would get a R4 card I would get one at the end of the lifecycle of the 3DS family anyway ( The start of the age where you can only get 3DS games from used stores so none of the money would flow to Nintendo anyway )

@critialcloudkicker as far as I know it occasionally there's an update that makes them temporarily unusable but they're quickly patched to make them work again. I may be wrong so don't take it as 100% accurate.
