Get a load of this one, fellas.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:29:02 UTC from web-
@awlderpy What kind of load?
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:30:29 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Waking up shivering and out of breath, what a loisah ammirite?
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:33:37 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Aw.. That's really unfortunate, man.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:35:56 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Nothing coffee can't fix! How's it going on your end?
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:38:42 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Not bad. Got the Pokémon going full speed ahead. Kind of want coffee but I have way too much to do tomorrow to not get any sleep.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:39:59 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Well as long as you could handle it you might be fine but I'm more inclined to tell people to sleep while they can. Enjoy it.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:41:46 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Sleep is for the weak! ...And the tired.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:42:40 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty But it's the weekend baby!
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:43:22 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I have to work at 8 tomorrow so ehhhhhh
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:43:47 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Ah, bugger. The grind. This is my Saturday off, I get every other one off as every other Sunday as well. If that makes any sense.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:45:36 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Is that one day off a week or a whole weekend off every two weeks?
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:46:12 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Well outside of thursdays it's either Saturday or Sunday. I haven't been around the shop long enough to warrant two days in a row, apparently.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:48:41 UTC from web-
@awlderpy That's odd. How many hours do you work a week?
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:49:44 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty I clock 40 clocked hours/week, I'd like to match that with labour but that hasn't happened since I first came here.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:51:16 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Well then I guess they're justified in giving you only one day off a week. Still a bummer to work six days in a row every week.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:52:24 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Oh no, I just have my days split. Thursdays are a regular day I have off. Although it does get added on when it's busy.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:53:58 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Oh, okay. I misunderstood, my apologies.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:54:35 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Oh it likely doesn't help that I'm not still fully awake.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:55:25 UTC from web-
@awlderpy When in doubt, blame a lack of sleep!
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:56:18 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Sleep is for the weak!
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:56:55 UTC from web-
@doorwithwheels Or the tired!
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:57:05 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Sleep is for the weak/tired!
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:57:52 UTC from web-
@doorwithwheels Right you are, man.

@yodelerty OR, blame the bronies. Wait.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:57:24 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Or blame... ourselves?
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 04:59:37 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty If we were responsible for our own actions sure. But this is modern society so let's blame others.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:00:43 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Oh, modern society. How you make me happy, angry, and sad.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:01:59 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty We should become feudal lords.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:03:44 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I dunno if I'd make a good lord.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:05:19 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty One way to find out! I'd just take part in as many battles as possible.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:06:24 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I'm not much of a fighter either. I'm more of a cowardly lion.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:08:26 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Well you'd have to garrison for higher lords and maybe pay tributes with conscripts, but it's one way to survive as a feudal lord!
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:10:05 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Can I just be a peasant instead
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:11:17 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Sure! You can work in my farms and likely end up being conscripted for an army anyways!
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:12:33 UTC from web-
@awlderpy ...Well darn.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:16:03 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Maybe modern society, not so bad? Or just tradeoffs.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:18:52 UTC from web-
@awlderpy It does have the Internet.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:19:55 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Yeah but old days had knighthood...
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:20:40 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Almost as cool as getting instant streaming movies for only $8 a month.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:28:11 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty We might have a winner, ladies and gentlemen.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:29:51 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I know the ways of the universe.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:31:24 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Indeed you do, ser. And here I was just to invent a time machine to go back.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:34:50 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Hey, keep working on that. Make sure it accounts for the movement of the Earth, though. Don't wanna end up in space or inside the planet.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:36:15 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty But we could visit Darth Sidious, or the Devil himself! That might be a little nifty.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:39:08 UTC from web-
@awlderpy That's risky business though. We could be killed or enslaved.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:40:13 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Oh yeah. Plenty of time to visit the Devil afterwards. Now there's kind of a subject for conversation... if you could visit any time in history (let's include the future) where would you go, and why.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:42:25 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Now there's a question I've always struggled to answer. I'd like to say the 1960s to experience the British Invasion but I'm sure there's somewhere I'd like to visit more. What about you?
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:45:31 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Oh there are many places, I'd have to pick for sure! Either during the sacks of Rome in the Hunnic Empire (400s AD), any time in the Timurid dynasty (1307 central Asia) or maybe, maybe the reign of Genghis Khan when they were pushing into the Caucasus, ca. 1220.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:50:18 UTC from web -
@yodelerty @awlderpy Oh! Although I would really really like to visit my homeland long before christianity came to it, in order to understand our pagan partheon! Very little is known about it and it fascinates me ever so.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:51:27 UTC from web-
@awlderpy There really are too many places in history to visit. It's fascinating, all of it.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:56:36 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Very much so! If there was such thing as a time machine I'd never be here in this time again.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 05:59:17 UTC from web-
@awlderpy It seems to work well enough for the Doctor Who protagonists. Cough.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:00:32 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Allons-y! Although when I imagine time travel I imagine it more like the book, Timeline by Michael Chrichton.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:02:50 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I'm unfamiliar with this author. I'm not a big reader though. Care to elaborate?
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:03:22 UTC from StatusNet iPhone -
@awlderpy Wait, he wrote Jurassic Park, right? I think I've heard of him.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:03:54 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Oh yes, among a few other works! He created the show ER, wrote quite a few books like Timeline, Terminal Man, Next, a good deal of others. Well the book Timeline, a group of anthropology students travels back to 14th century France to rescue their professor who's stuck there for whatever reason. The book was incredibly detailed; they had a real hard time fitting in but one kid, Andre, who's heavily into the time period, flourishes more or less.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:09:16 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I really need to start reading again. That sounds really enjoyable.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:14:23 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty I found it to be; Crichton goes into great detail with his works, to the point that you can believe what happens in the story, i.e. bringing dinosaurs back to life or time travel via quantum technology, can happen in reality. He was extremely well educated and well versed in research for his works.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:17:53 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Thanks for the info and recommendation. When I work up the motivation I'll be sure to give his work a read.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:20:40 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Oh if you like fantasy I have more recommendations, but baby steps.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:23:20 UTC from web-
@awlderpy This will do for now. I'll certainly seek out more in the future, though.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:25:19 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Good to know! Plus never hurts to venture out on your own; can't dictate one's tastes and all that.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:29:00 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Absolutely! Though I haven't explored my tastes very much yet in terms of literature.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:31:18 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty I always enjoy venturing out in the terms of literature! Ross recently gave me his selection of ebooks and I began reading the Hunger Games; much more interesting than the movie proved to be.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:33:44 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I've heard the books are supposed to be pretty good. I don't know much about The Hunger Games other than people tend to poke fun at it for reasons I don't quite understand.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:35:00 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Likely due to it's popularity with the teenage crowd. Much like the Twilight series (I won't read them because romance and not a fan of vampyres), or ponies for that matter, if we go outside of literature.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:37:49 UTC from web-
@awlderpy The fanbase for both Twilight and MLP also probably tend to deter people. Particularly since the loud ones are always the worst.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:40:10 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty This is the first large fandom I've considered myself part of, or any fandom for that matter. Now come to think of it I'm not sure if a fandom for Hunger Games series even exists.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:42:19 UTC from web-
@awlderpy It surely does but I've not seen them around recently. This is my first fandom as well and it's certainly been a wild experience so far.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:44:27 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Same here! I enjoy the calmness as of right now, surely that won't last long so enjoying it as it lasts. Still I have to say most any brony/pony fan I've met has been quite an upstanding person, via this medium or irl.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:46:55 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I tend to find the ones IRL a tad irritable but they're certainly good people. The convention I went to was super fun too.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:49:12 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty I have yet to be at a convention, the ones I've met who've allowed as much to admit being one so far have been nice enough. Maybe a bit taken aback by my own admittance.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:51:19 UTC from web-
@awlderpy I definitely recommend a convention if you can find a good one near you. With the right guests and panels they're an experience to say the least.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:54:38 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty The best way to approach conventions is to host a panel on a topic you know nothing about at your first one
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:55:35 UTC from StatusNet Android-
@redenchilada That's the enchilada way
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:57:43 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty And it's a tried and true method. BFF2012 was a lot of fun for me because of it
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:59:48 UTC from StatusNet Android-
@redenchilada I'd do that but I'd literally die
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 07:00:31 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty I almost died at the panel but then I started talking and people weren't judging me so I kept talking and had a lot of fun.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 07:02:04 UTC from StatusNet Android-
@redenchilada What if they DO judge ;;
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 07:03:05 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Then make fun of their cosplays and keep going
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 07:04:02 UTC from StatusNet Android-
@redenchilada Oh well I do that anyway
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 07:04:26 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty You'll run a fantastic panel then

@yodelerty Thanks! I'll definitely keep it in mind. Mayhap even go to another meetup locally; be more extroverted.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:56:17 UTC from web-
@awlderpy Those are good for meeting new people too. I try to interact as much as I can when I'm at my local ones.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 06:59:05 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty Admittedly I didn't do that very well; I tend to study people first then talk to them.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 07:01:06 UTC from web-
@awlderpy That's a viable method. If it works for you I'd say carry on.
Saturday, 19-Oct-13 07:02:36 UTC from StatusNet iPhone-
@yodelerty It does, just a natural tendency I have for situations I'm not normally in.
