@sofia Can't you wreck batteries draining them completely?
Monday, 28-Oct-13 00:56:45 UTC from web-
@awlderpy doing it repeatedly, yes. Once in a while? Nah.

@flamingpandaomg Perhaps I'm reserved in it because I had to get my first iphone warrantied out, for the purpose of my draining the battery completely just once (or so I presumed)

@awlderpy Chances are your battery had other issues.

@flamingpandaomg the timing seemed odd is all.

@awlderpy Depends on the type; some, you're supposed to completely drain & completely charge - no partial stuff.

@scribus I know nicad batteries are supposed to be drained completely, more or less, but I was under the belief that lithium ones cannot be drained completely. Now I'll have to look this up.

@awlderpy That, I don't know... I've heard that the all-electric Tesla sports cars' batteries die 100% (no recharge ever again) if you let them drain completely. That, um... that is hearsay and also adds nothing of value to a conversation that had already reached the point of, "Well, it depends." #derp

@scribus I pretty much got the same answer reading up on lithium ion, Ni-Cd and NiMH batteries, no one seems to have a set rule. Did learn their makeup though, which is always nice.
