@mrmattimation I'm pretty sure people say that to justify shooting horses rather than based on objective fact.

@ceruleanspark I guess. I've only heard it in literally every horse movie where the girl loves a horse but then the horse injures itself and then the daddy gets his shotgun to shoot the horse but then he doesn't shoot the horse and they live happily ever after.

@mrmattimation i've leanred from movies that if the core of the earth stops, you can build a machine to go there in 3 months then explode a bomb thers and everything gets alright

@mrmattimation If a working horse breaks a leg it's generally cheaper to shoot it and buy a new horse. If you have a cherished pet horse it's recoverable but it takes /months/ of expensive treatment and daily vet visits for even a chance at recovery.
