@nvrrmbr If we're talking about Rarity, I think it could be to do with the whole superficial drama-queen aspect. I just find it hard not to like her after 'Suited', 'Green Isn't Your Colour' and 'Dog and Pony'. she probably had the strongest single character-centric episodes in my view.

@abigpony Well, I wouldn't usually go for 'grimdark'... but I don't actually find it that "grim". I mean it starts with the pretty typical "Twilight buggers up a spell > Parallel universe" device... but its fascinating, and the characters are drawn really well. Some cool twists too.

@abigpony Hmm... okay maybe I didn't advertise it too well, there! Nah, it just takes the regular characters and sees what would have happened in a different situation. I just like the way the author has kept the characters true, while exploring just how far each would be prepared to go under pressure. Well, I liked it anyhoo!
