  3. @deadshot I have fired the M92FS on a couple of occasions. I found it to be a decent pistol, but truthfully speaking, I would much rather have a Glock 17 or a Sig Sauer P226/Mk.25 when it comes to a full-sized 9mm handgun.

  4. @deadshot If you know how to load rounds into a mag the right way you're already better than 1/4 of us. I've seen officers load pistol mags backwards... It's embarrassing.

  5. @deadshot I like them better anyways, yes. But I'm still waiting for the day Desert Eagles become standard issue. Or at least let me bring my own with me...

  6. @deadshot I don't care. The Marine Corps survives off of the Army's garbage. Basically since the Corps is a department of the Navy all of our funds are basically leftover funds from the actual Navy meaning we get significantly less funds than the other departments. So we use our funds to buy the Army's used gear (ex. Rifles, tanks, pistols, aircraft, machine guns). That means I don't care what the Army gets because the Marine Corps is still going to be stuck with Bretta M9's until the Army is done with their P320's and pass them to us.

  8. @deadshot well iirc renaissance man means one who's dipped his toes in a great different anount of work or trades. Could be wrong as English isn't my strongest suit and that particular idiom is not often used. But yeah that much experience is awesome ni matter how far along you are in age. By the way welcome to the site! It's great to have a new face around.

  11. @deadshot Most definitely. I'm not gunna do squat the rest of my time. Once you get to that point in the unit I'm with all you really have to do is teach the next group of guys coming in how to take your place.

  15. @deadshot I told myself I'd never smoke, I told myself I'd never drink and the military pushed me to do both. It changes a man both for the better and for the worse. Overall you probably made the better decision here.

  16. @deadshot Probably overall a wise decision. There is a lot of goofy things that happen in the military. But I will admit it does set you up for the world. If you can do it yourself you're already better than all of us. Me included and I envy that. At this point the only reason I'd reenlist is if I got EOD because then at least I have the chance of blowing up and ending it all.

  19. @deadshot High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, or as the civis call it, a HUMVEE. It almost lit on fire because 1: HMMMWVs are pieces of crap and 2: I left the Emergency brake on and traveled down the road "trying" to go 45 but only going thirty and wondering why my RPMs were so high and I wasn't going anywhere. That's when I smelled something burning and noticed.

  20. @deadshot I'm definitely comfortable with it (although I am living at home still so that may change), and it's a surprisingly nice place to work despite being a government job. It mainly involves laughing at other people's mistakes and then getting angry when you have to try and correct them

  21. @deadshot That sounds.... interesting. IDK if i would like that but hey it sounds like a good job. And if it pays the bills and keeps you happy then eh its great right?
