@drewdle samba, but I figured out the problem. Lion defaults to afp so you have to manually enter smb....

@derpytails ha, yeah I was installing it from a usb stick while I was in there. Lion is just today only available as an upgrade from snow leopard. Complete installers are not available yet, hehe

Just installed Mac OS X Lion (from priated copy and done inside the apple store I might add) Only problem so far is that finder isn't seeing my local servers. Does anypony have any suggestions on a fix?

@madflavors i was glad when it started raining today, it was so hot and humid it was literally like being in a sauna, the rain seems to be the only thing that can conquor the heat

@starshine i run a large real estate listings database and it's all php tables, if i and my data entry folk used firefox we'd never get our work done, haha

@drewdle i use chrome almost exclusively, it loads tables really fast. If you work in web based php databases you can tell a huge difference between it and every other browser

@drewdle seems with linux so much is broken, like packages making you compile them manually, or packages not being found in apt-get, or dependency requirements stopping things from working, i wish it were more userfriendly, or that some company would develop a finished product. I'd gladly pay for a linux distro if it were actually good

@drewdle i like linux except that so much of it is unperfected. If the distros were backwards compatible it would be a lot more useful to me

the heatwave continues in manehattan. 83 now supposed to get up to 91 today and very humid. How can a pony survive in this? haha
