@eeeie I definitely recommend it, and honestly the concept of using another tobacco product to "quit" smoking is dubious, but many Swedish studies show that if you're going to consume tobacco Snus is the safest way to do it. IIRC pasturization doesn't produce as many... Tobacco something something carcinogens? I forget the term exactly
-
@eeeie it's definitely there with snus, it's just... slower? the tobacco has to be moisturized through the pouch and stuff, and then it releases gradually as opposed to cigs. Dip is right there against your gums so it's quicker
-
@eeeie Ha, you and me both. I might have some chew for New Year's though.
-
@eeeie Hey, I LOVE a good headie when I get one. I've had lots of fun smoking in the past, and I wouldn't be the same if I hadn't done so.
-
@eeeie smoking's headrush can generally be attributed to the extra chemicals the companies put in to increase nicotine absorption at a higher rate (ammonia etc).
-
@eeeie all snus usually comes in various strengths, the standard though has a nicotine content of about ~8mg/gram, while Copenhagen Wintergreen has similar. However the free nicotine levels (what's absorbed) are lower for snus
-
@eeeie I understand, and I sort of feel the same. It's why I've been trying to quit, or at least reduce my intake.
-
@eeeie I'd say for worse for me too, but eh, nothing I can do about it now
-
@eeeie I enjoy it at first but it really makes me queasy once it's worn off. That's probably since I'm not a heavy tobacco user, and I only vape 3mg juice (even if it's from a dripper)
-
@eeeie It's really only an uneven line there below the reflection in the eye that's bothering me but I sort of fixed it
-
@eeeie well, I'm new to snus but basically General is a pillar of the community from what I can tell. If you ever go to buy it (especially if the place that carries it is a gas station) just make sure that the stuff in the fridge is in date (and that the fridge is even plugged in...) since obviously it's not a big seller in America so they might not be too arsed about keeping things squeaky.
-
@eeeie I do still want to try Skoal Mint because I know that the nic content in Skoal is much lower than things like Cope and Grizzly (Cope applesing knocked me on my ass the first like...5 times I did it, and it still gives me a head rush like nuts) but honestly I want to explore Snus a lot more now. You could always go to General's website and use their store locator to see if there is any local to you, since they're like, literally the ONLY real Swedish Snus brand that sells in the US. Don't try the Camel/Marlboro/Skoal snus since it's apparently just their regular tobacco snusified (aka rly bad)
-
@eeeie I was thinking I was gonna have to go to the local tobacco shop and pay out the nose for real Swedish Snus but it was /right there/ and boy am I happy as a clam. This is a million times better than Cope too

@eeeie we're watching Kill Bill 1+2, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Four Rooms.

@eeeie Fair enough, whatever works for you. Flash definitely does take some used to, and I guess I can't really give the best animation advice here because I'm not an animator nor someone who uses Flash. But if you ever need artistic advice in general or just some feedback on the drawing of something specifically I can probably provide at least some advice and/or critique.
-
@eeeie Yeah, I guess maybe if you're not gonna animate and simply draw I'd recommended either GIMP or Paint Tool SAI personally. Or you know, if it's just for fun and whatnot Paint is really easy and simple.
-
@eeeie dole Flash. cherries it with a pitchfork.
-
@eeeie That's with a mouse? Damn, that's better than I gave you credit for. I'm awful with digital even on a proper tablet, let alone a mouse.
-
@eeeie Your guess is as good as mine
-
@eeeie It's alright, animal anatomy is tough (also admittedly not my forte). I guess one thing I could recommend is to change up the shading a bit on the ears, as it seems to imply there's a light source below them but that doesn't work with the shadow inside your hoodie. Also, as I said before I'm not really the best to consult for this style, though I imagine from dogs I've seen that the ears would be a bit closer to equilateral triangles as opposed to isosceles ones, anatomically anyway.
-
@eeeie It's definitely an improvement from your first draft. The placement of the nose is much more accurate and the eyes look a lot cleaner, not to mention expressive. The ears are positioned right but still look a bit odd anatomically, but other than that it all looks good. I like it :)
