@phunkymat !bcbronies *Convention. And go down to Everfree in Seattle. If we try to hold a convention up here it'll just be expensive and cannibalize the other, much larger and more professionally-arranged one down there.

@phunkymat !vancouverbronies That screening was a mini-con in of itself. We've proven we can hold a small one just with that screening. To go bigger scale is a different story. I would look into talking with IRL Events to see if they would support us if that's something we wish to do. (they support a ton of local cons)

@bronymike @phunkymat !bcbronies If there are any searches, they're likely to be at the entrance to the expo, just past ticket sales. (I'm guessing, based on past con experiences)

@phunkymat !bcbronies I'm not sure if they'll be searching bags for anything. Might be inconvenient for going to panels and whatnot, but bring what you want and you'll probably be fine.

!bcbronies @phunkymat No clue yet regarding at-the-con meetups. It's been a busy few weeks. Hopin' for something along the lines of meetin' from 9:30-10:00AM somewhere on the right side of the convention centre, then goin' in once it opens, but I'm all the way down in White Rock and don't have any way of surveying the area, so I was hoping someone a bit more in-the-area could sess it out over the next day or two and find good meeting places that EVERYONE isn't gonna wind up using, or at least would be big enough to have multiple bunches of people meeting up. Surely there are gonna be a bunch of little groups of people meeting, so we'll need to be strategic about this. This also ties into @snazzy101's question about the specifics of the library. I'm not from the area, so I won't be able to provide better details as to what the heck "the parkade" refers to or how we enter from there. Gonna have to ask

@phunkymat !vancouverbronies There is weekly meetup at Bamboo cafe beside Joyce Station every Saturday at 1:00pm. April 21 meetup is an exception because of the fan expo.

@phunkymat !bcbronies Well, we've got a pretty big meetup happening during the con that looks like it'll take about 1-1.5 hours out of the actual con time, but I'm kinda hoping to get a posse together to hang out with. Nothing's specifically planned yet though, but I'm already showing someone around for their first ever con, I don't mind someone else.
