  1. !yorkshirebronies regarding food I don't think it will be possible to get much better priced on food, at least in a dine in situation for up to 20 of us. It's possible to get a meal and drink for under £15 in Brio's, so it's not all that bad.

  2. !yorkshirebronies About the shirts. I already mentioned how it is cheaper to order 2+ in one go, however they must both be shipped to the same destination. Not too much of a problem for those who are happy to travel to Leeds at a later date and pick them up from the store, but could be problematic for those living far away. If you have a near by brony friend, you could always order them online, and have them shipped to your house. At least that way you would have the shirt in time for the meetup! :D Similarly, you could collect them in store.

  3. !yorkshirebronies Hey guys, posting to let you know I'll be there. A little on the late side but I wanted to be certain. Hopefully getting a shirt too but my design needs a fair bit of work yet.

    • !yorkshirebronies I support this idea, Pizza is always a good choice, their menu has some good alternatives for those who don't like pizza too.

      • !yorkshirebronies Good news, everypony! Pizza is back on the potential menu! I called in at Brio's; a small family run pizza place at the Light, Leeds. The manager was all too happy for me to reserve some tables for 20 of us, so if you guys want to go there, I'll go back and book it! Have a website, complete with menu: http://thelight.brios.co.uk/File/default.asp And let me know if it's a yes or a no for Brio's Pizza!

        • !yorkshirebronies I'll have some time in the afternoon before college starts tomorrow, so I'll have a look around any restaurants near my college. I noticed a carvery today, with good looking deals on food, but I'll have to check again.

          • !yorkshirebronies @klayking I can do a little searching tonight and see what I can come up with, do we have any idea of numbers?

Monday, 16-Jan-12 18:00:21 UTC from web
          • !yorkshirebronies About food: Nando's indeed don't take bookings so it would be a huge gamble if we showed up en masse. Anyone from Leeds know of good places to eat? Preferably vegetarian friendly. I'll need to get this stuff sorted soon so throw out some suggestions!

          • !yorkshirebronies @mattus701 Bowling, food, and if you want to buy any shirts or toys then I suppose spare money can't hurt!

          • !yorkshirebronies @trister Sweet. We need a page for Yorkshire photos and stuff! @gizmo Best confirm that everyone here likes s̶c̶o̶o̶t̶a̶l̶o̶o̶ chicken then. Personally, I love it! All in favour of Nando's say Aye!

          • !yorkshire COOL! trains are easy! Set off from Worksop at 9:14, with one switchover in Sheffield, and I arrive in Leeds at 11:02. #

          • !yorkshirebronies @klayking It's not too late to confirm my attendance is it? I will probably be able to make it, and I can bring a pretty high quality camera for video/photographs if you're in need of one.

Sunday, 15-Jan-12 22:07:50 UTC from web
          • !yorkshirebronies I've only been to the Nando's a couple of times, pretty great, but if you're not fond of chicken there's not much on the menu

Sunday, 15-Jan-12 01:56:10 UTC from web
            • !yorkshirebronies I've been noseying around at other restaurants in the area. Anyone here know what Nando's is like? Some of my friends speak very highly of it.

Saturday, 14-Jan-12 23:48:19 UTC from web
              • !yorkshirebronies OK guys, it's the two week warning! Anyone wanting to go to Leeds on the 28th at 11am should be sure to arrange travel! Also, we really need to actually work out where we are going for food! Anyone from Leeds know a good restaurant? I'll book us in at the bowling place too, if everyone is OK with that.

Saturday, 14-Jan-12 12:17:14 UTC from web
              • !yorkshirebronies Ok, by the end of the week I want to have finalised the plans. Who here would like to go bowling? Feel free to make other suggestions if you know of anything to do in Leeds. Also, where is a good place to eat? Once we have decided on places, I can get a rough headcount and book for us if necessary. Also, getting an idea of how many people want shirts would be useful, but I expect it to fall within the 2-10 bracket.

              • !yorkshirebronies @purplephish20 @klayking dolein' is the word. No, make it UNBELIEVABLE! Make sure I hear 'unbelievable' next time. :) Now we just need details.

              • !yorkshirebronies @stecissunrise Oh my god, that is the most epic thing I have ever seen! :D It occurs to me that the design would make a badass shirt!

                • !yorkshirebronies @klayking Haha, I suppose that might work xD And I'll bear the colours in mind. Maybe I'll dig out some line art or something...

                • !yorkshirebronies OK, by the end of this week I hope to have finalised the plans so we can get a post up on EqD about the meetup. It also gives you guys 2 weeks to sort out travel and stuff. The rough plan so far is: --- Meet @ Leeds train station @ 11:00am. Wait until 11:30 for everyone to arrive (if in doubt, get to Leeds earlier). Hang about somewhere, get to know each other. 12:30pm go get food (anypony know of a good place to eat?). After lunch, we can go raid the Tshirt Print store and go on a ponyhunt if anyone wants some official merch. At 3:00pm we should do something, but IDK what yet! :D Maybe we should take over a café and learn to draw ponies or something, heck even watch the new episode if we can get internet! Otherwise maybe we could find some less brony central activity. Will need an accurate idea of how many people are coming though so it can be booked. At 5:00pm I guess some people will want to return home, so I haven't made any plans for later. (What would Twi say?!)

                • !yorkshirebronies @durandal If we got 10 of those cheap 2 way splitters then we could have enough jacks. :3 Also, keep in mind that Tshirt Print only has a small range of colours, and they charge for each extra colour afaik. Won't stop me getting a simplistic design though!

                  • !yorkshirebronies It would be awesome to watch the new episode, but I can't think how we'd manage it. I know I successfully streamed May the Best Pet Win at a Leeds Cafe Nero when I was over there in November, but I doubt they'd appreciate us watching with the sound on, and I've never heard of a laptop with 10+ headphone jacks ; ) Oh, and I'll be buying at least one t-shirt.

                    • @purplephish20 I'll let you know beforehand if I have the time off, but I'd really like to go to the !yorkshirebronies meet! (sorry keep posting the wrong tags)

                      • I really want to go to one of these !midlands meet-ups, and the February 18th one would be great. Just now need to organize travel etc.
