@nerthos People might still disagree with being called things like "Gay" even if they 'think rationally'. They could not be homosexual at all, or they think that that is all you see them as. That's why some people get 'offended' at the word. Even if you would like it to be, and even if that's what some people see it as, it's not just a generic word to be thrown around.

My thoughts on this: There's a time and place for everything. Some people are more suited to reaching others on a logic-based level. Some people are more able to reach people emotionally. Most are a mix of both, some lean more towards one or the other.
Some people will use that power incorrectly (making decisions entirely emotionally is indeed one example), but I don't think it's worth discounting anyone's opinions based on how they think. -
