@scoot well do you know why her mum won't let her get a kitten? if you know that it might be possible to find a solution. I would try to avoid just getting one anyway. if getting a kitten is really essential, and your mum is for it as she seems to be, you could get a kitten to stay with you, so that your girlfriend's mum can see what it's like without having it for sure
