@nerthos His torture, death, and resurrection were quite enough in my opinion. The troubles in life are trials, sort of like tests. If he eliminated the tests then how could we be given a chance to succeed or fail those tests? Jesus did a LOT of miracles, though. So many that not even the Bible could keep track of 'em. :)
