@nerthos Believe it or not, the Jews and Roman's dared Jesus to save himself, but he didn't. The reason darkness couldn't be wiped out is not because the darkness was too powerful, it might have even have been the opposite. God is a just God, and because of that Sin (human/demon/ etc) MUST be paid for in some way. He can't just overlook sin or he wouldn't be just. Imagine a Judge simply forgetting a person's crime and letting them roam free. Some one MUST pay for sin (no exceptions xD)
