    @mrdragon Statusnet already supports two distinct APIs, anyway: the "Twitter-compatible" one, which has the same paths, etc. as Twitter's API; and the AtomPub API, which uses Atom-formatted requests/responses, and is generally more capable, due to not limiting itself to maintaining Twitter API compatibility. Sadly, since the latter only arrived in 0.9.7, most things still use the former (including IdentiCurse, though one of my longer-term goals is to fix that).
