@renovatedkitchen It's sort of a halfway point between a window manager and a desktop environment. It's not easy to install, being pre-alpha software and requiring a whole mess of libraries written specifically for it, but it is easy to use once installed. It was doing effects like you see in Aero long before that was ever dreamed up, and unlike that it can do them on very little hardware. Updates tend to break it though, due to its pre-alpha nature there's no guarantee the codebase is in a particularly sane state at any given time you might choose to get it.
