@minti The term originally came from "Computer Role Playing Game" and was a friendlier way of saying "Western Role Playing Game". Nowadays you can find this type of game on PCs or consoles, and from western or eastern developers, so the term refers to that style of RPG that revolves around the choices you make as a player (in contrast to the JRPG (also "Console Role Playing Game") style which revolves around following a path that has been set before you).
