@abigpony The state prior to our current strict dislocation of Gender Roles. Yes, Gender Roles have existed since the beginning of Humanity. They have been through many changes. Many of said changes were for "Good" such as Equal Rights for Women. Society has written that Males should not enjoy seemingly "Girly" things. Bronies are in natural opposition to this, since the majority of us enjoy MLP, (a "Girly" show) partially regardless of whether society holds it to be Gender-appropriate or not.
