As for Transformers: Prime, its third season is set to shake up the whole status quo by introducing a bunch of literal robo-monsters for the rest of the cast to hunt and react to, changing a show about masquerading in plain sight into one about fighting monsters. The half of the fandom who are derisive of beast modes will probably be glad of the shorter length because they'll want that arc over and done with. It does make me wonder if MLP is going in a different direction too, though. Maybe flipping it arc-wise? Arunno. Idle speculation.
