@omni I still say a big reason Linux isn't as widespread as some people want it to be is because one-step solutions for the mass public don't really exist for it. Plenty of people would be satisfied with something that could browse the internet effectively and maybe have GIMP thrown on for image editing (particularly if the whole setup's cheaper than the Windows equivalent!), but most people won't look into these things if they don't see them on a store shelf.
